Our Mission

Our General Meetings are held in the evening on the fourth (4th) Thursday of the month except for November and December. Our meeting schedule is as follows:

6:00 - Social time

6:30 - General meeting

7:00 - Program

8:00 - Break

8:10 - Business and show and tell

Thursday  -  July 25, 2019:       Lecture - Pat Fryer.  Local Girl Makes Good.  Pat will by sharing her inspiring journey as a quilter, shop owner and pattern & fabric designer.    

Saturday   -  July 27, 2019:       Workshop -  Elizabeth Cunning Patriotic Workshop —Red, White and Blue blocks for Veteran's quilts. 

                                                             (Featuring the World Famous desserts of retired USAF Col. Roger Cunning).

Thursday  -  August 22, 2019:   Our 2020 Featured Quilter,  Cindy Thompson will be sharing a lecture on a new technique of dyeing fabric with tissue, and more.

Saturday    -  August 24, 2019:  Workshop - Cindy Thompson - "Whimsical Art to Dye For". Kits available for a Kitty Cat or Giraffe.  (Small wall hanging or pillow).                                                                                                        She will also have many other patterns to chose from; chickens, frogs, dogs, fairies, flowers, etc.  Fun Characters.      

Thursday   - Sept 26, 2019:        Lecture  - Petra Keller - "Who Made This Quilt?"  Back Art Trunk Show & the importance of Labels. 

Saturday    -  Sept 28, 2019:       Workshop - Petra Keller - Come & Learn how Petra makes the orphan & wonky blocks all play nicely.

Thursday   - Oct 24, 2019:          Lecture - Rami Kim  -  Two by Two -  Trunk Show & Lecture on using design techniques into different projects.

Saturday  -   Oct 26, 2019:          Workshop - Rami Kim  - No Sew Tumbling Block Weaving Method

About Us: 

Manteca Quilters is for everyone who loves quilts and the art of quilting. We have members of all ages and at all levels of quilting from beginner to the very experienced. Established in 1979, we have grown to over 140 members and are still growing!

Membership

1. To contribute to the knowledge of, and to promote the appreciation of fine quilts

2. To sponsor and support quilting activities, and to encourage quilt making and collecting

3. To increase the knowledge of quilting history, techniques, textiles, patterns, and needle arts
